Saturday night chat

Happy Saturday evening, all.

A couple of finds from the local flea today
for your viewing pleasure...why do these things
delight me so much?
I always look around to see if I'm the only one
who has spied an item as if it is some sort
of blue light special and ladies are about
to pounce!
I have never seen a blue light special,
but I've always heard of them.
You?

This couple was just setting up their booth and
it was fun because they were WAY over-
thinking it their small space.
I thought, "wait until people rifle through all
of it and leave their candy bar wrappers, etc."
Anyway, I got these two things for good
prices.
They are in my shop, still at good prices if they delight you
as well.

I am researching how to make little soap bird
eggs for my booth at the Hayloft barn sale
in which I was a vendor in October.
I think some little cellophane bags of them would
be a popular and cute item.
I also like the way they feel in my hand when
I use them.
Have you ever made soap?

Did you try anything from your Pinterest boards
this weekend?
What is number one on your list if you do?
Spill it below:

The flow blue is gorgeous. I agree with the previous poster, my first thought seeing the childs plate was of Leslie salt.

Never made soap but the bird egg shape sounds cute and I'm sure would sell.

I have made something from Pintest, but not recently--exploring other things right now.
And, yes, I have seen a blue light special. Not sure they still do them, but they (KMart) had a blue light--like the kind you would see on a police car--at the top of a pole attached to a rolling cart. they would place it in the aisle where they were featuring a special.
can't wait to see your soaps--two things I LOVE . . . soap and bird eggs.

I remember the blue light specials - you'd rush to which eve aisle it was announced and hope to be in time - it was fun. I don't think they do it anymore - and we don't shop at kmart much anymore anyway - they never have anything in the store - how do they stay in business?

Loved the photos today - I too am excited when I find something special - and almost feel like I have to hurry before someone finds me out. LOL

You are so cute...just had to come over and wish you a blessed week and tell you that your comment about putting me in a beige room made me laugh out loud this morning! We once bought a home with all beige walls...I don't even think I was in the house for 3 days when the paint can came out!
Your treasures are lovely! I always grab and run when I see a lovely treasure.xoxoox

My husband has tried to teach me how to be calm, cool, and collected when I see something I want to purchase. He thinks it would help me to negotiate a lower price, but I can't help wanting to jump up and down and yell, "I'll take it and probably pay more than you are asking!" Your new treasures are cute!

There must be egg shaped molds for soap available, that would be beautiful! I have never made soap, but have always wanted to try. Not the melt and pour kind but the lye and other goodies kind. I can't wait to hear how your turns out. You got some beautiful goodies at the flea:>)
