i snagged a rusty OLD wire
bottle or drink carrier
today.
i love the way the sides look like a little
fence.
i haven't been able to find one like it online
which i was trying to do so i could
decide on it's value and list it on etsy...
well....i listed it...twice and removed it twice.
(can't let it go!)
i don't have bottles to go in but i had
found these spools of thread this week
and wanted you to see them as well.
they'll get listed eventually...
what?
are you talking to me?
oh, you're talking about how yesterday i said
that i was kind of buying and styling
things like anthropologie stores.
well...yeah, what would they do?
maybe put colored bottles in the carrier?
oh me...
let us ask the visitors...
Tell me girls!
How do I style my carrier?
What would you do?

You don't.
You sell it to me.
=)
Bottles with daisies...I want it!!
I simply love it!! I would put milk bottles...hugs...m..
love it. if it was mine I think I might use clear bottles and flowers. I am all about flowers.
That mercerized thread is very beautiful! I love the colors (i see two different colors)
You could use this carrier for Easter, and put Easter things, like chocolates, bunnies, flowers... inside of it as a table center :)
i wouldn't let it go either. that's a keeper!
I think if it where mine I'd have to put a few wine bottles in it......just for presentation.
That carrier is terrific. I'd use it for outdoor eating stuff. Silverware in one slot (might have to put a glass in to stand it in) rolled up napkins, salt and pepper, etc.
I'd crochet with that thread.

Put vintage style soda-bottles in it, with pretty labels and filled with pastel colored liquids - i think that would be great! Love your things here - they're so anthropologie ;) Have a fun day!
Duke says thank you for the birthday wishes!
I love the carrier, my dad was a milkman and it looks like something he would have used "back in the day" on his milk route.
I would probably put some Ball canning jars "wide top" it and use it on my desk as an organizer!
Nice find, really nice!
Whoops, that was actually me signed in with hubby's ID, The Political Curmudgeon . . .
ahhh my dear... find those vintage green glass Coke bottles, and fill each one with water and add a little posy or two to each one. Put them in your wire basket and make Martha cry she didn't do it herself! lol
oh for goodness sakes... I just saw Martina nearly wrote the same thing! lol Can you tell I didn't read your responses before I typed?! lol
ok... Cindy did too... so much for my originality today! lol
Oooh, love it. I wouldn't let that go! How about small pots of greenery or succulents? Maybe treated to grow moss on the outside of the pot so they look oldish and sweet:>)
I wouldn't want to sell it either, but if you decide to it looks like you have lots of takers. I love it too, and like you, especially love the way it looks like an old wire fence.
I've always loved these used for flowers, but since that is something most people do with them, I tried to think up something different. How about putting old canning jars in it, and then using it next to the stove for holding your utensils?
Also, it would look pretty filled with neat old bottles filled with cooking oils, ect.
I like the idea of those long narrow clay flower pots filled with herbs.
The crochet thread is really neat. I like the old look of it.
xo
Put plushies in them!
toooo cute.. I love it.. keep creating.. what a great job..
I love what you have done with it already. So many ideas:) Putting little jars of flowers would be on top of my list:)
