Snippets of Christmas

i love bringing out my old wintry photos
of children bundled for snow!
i framed one this morning in a
silver yard sale frame
with red fabric behind it.

this little vintage green
office item
(pen holder??)
is now a holder for
wee vintage
ball ornaments,
sort of like a little tree :)

i miss dressing my own
little snowbunnies
like this!

remember this when that neighbor overloads the
circuit and all the lights go out!

oh, that never happens?

well, what about when the kids break your best
ornament?
the one old whats-her-name gave you in third grade?
or when someone beats you to the parking space you just
had your blinkers on to pull into?
or your jeans don't fit
(i'll take that one)

your turn.  let it out.

I love your collection of photos! I always enjoy photos of children, but have been trying to figure out how to limit myself to certains specifications--children dressed of snow is brilliant!
You're so dang clever!
(Loved the NOEL yelloware bowl, too!)

"certain" and "dressed FOR snow"
(big hurry!)

I have to remember that quote for people who talk during the movies. Like, can you be quite for 2 hours without talking? Or people who use their text messaging while their having a conversation with you. How insulting is that?
By the way I love all your snippets of Christmas...
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful time of the year.

Sadly, no snow bunnies rugged up here. Flip flops, board shorts & sunscreen is the Seasonal dress code. And a platter of cold shrimps, salads & icecream Christmas Pudding on the beach for a smashing Aussie Christmas!

Believe it or not, but that "office item" is actually a vintage flower frog, and a very nice one too. I think I like your use for it much better though. I have one exactly like it in my collection of antique flower frogs. I think I'm gonna go dig it out and turn it into a little ornament tree too (those tiny vintage ornaments are another thing I collect - oh hell, I collect just about everything). :-)

What a sweet vintage picture. Old photos and postcards are so great to decorate with. You are so right in your quote too :-)

Framing that old photo is perfect. Clever Auntie B!

I'm going to the post office today, I promise to be kind. Your quote will be my mantra.
