monday morning blog hop uncovered
this wonderful group of
gifts wrapped to,
well...
not really care WHAT is inside the package
i'd keep these bad boys just as they are!
probably decorate a whole room around them and have some company over...
(i'm using photos from other places as i'm messed up badly in
the electronics kind of way for a few days...)
i am in the process of planning a post-thanksgiving
family reunion at our house
cousins that haven't seen each other
except at funerals for centuries will get
together.
do you have cool ideas for me?
i have a few myself but am interested in what
you might have...
thanks!

These are just gorgeous! Make sure you post old photos all over the house. Always fun at reunions. How about some infamous family recipes served or a small themed gift exchange?
Sounds like fun!!! So the gifts aren't for me...bummer!!!
I love the wrappings...you are right, you don't even need to open them!!!

Like Vicki said, get out the old photo's even if you have to borrow and copy some. You could also have some sort of thing for the oldest, the youngest and the one who came to farthest to attend. Maybe something that could be pinned on.
Or if you want to be really complicated draw a family tree on a big piece of butcher paper and post it on the wall.

These gifts look absolutely fab!
So many blessings...m...
Hi Auntie Bliss!!! Thanks so much for popping by my blog and leaving your lovely comments. That tree limb you used to sit on would be a sight to see, and cosying up under your mother's sewing machine just sounds delightful!
I LOVE the name of your blog. As soon as I clicked through to your blogger profile and saw that, I smiled!
And, those packages in your photo are gorgeous.
Lovely to have *met* you. :)

My cousins and I are always talking about having a summer get together, because we only visit at funerals too. I can certainly relate to that.
I've always liked the idea of a tablecloth that folks write messages and doodle upon. White is best, and now there are so many wonderful markers in lots of colors that won't wash out. It becomes a keepsake over the years. But, a guest book is nice too. Oooh, I know! Have each person bring a recipe, an old photo or keepsake, or better yet a story, and create a book from them, that you can send copies of, at Christmas, or in the new year.
Thanks as a remedy for this discriminative article, it's absolutely notable blogs
No reunion tips here, we always just sit around and eat, (what, is there anything more fun?) but those packages are gorgeous inspiration! Thanks for sharing:>)
I adore the neutrals used in these photos! I wouldn't open them either!
Have fun planning your Cousin party! Enjoy them!
