Fine Feathered Friends

Our chickens line up on the railing at 7:00 each night.
I've been letting them stay out and play in the yard. The cats love them and vice versa. It has been so funny watching all of them.
We discovered a Wren's nest in the wreath on the front porch.
The cute little eggs remind me of Easter candy :)
I made that wreath years ago using copies of photos that had been laminated with a hole punched for a ribbon :)

This little turkey got separated from his Mama and I was filling was all going rather nicely until he escaped the cage while we were away.
He sure was a sweetie!

Today in Kentucky the zucchini has been picked and the Chocolate Zucchini bread is in the oven!
Stay cool! (assuming you are already ;)

Love the wreath Phyllis and your babies are adorable!! Have you seen the mother setting on the eggs much? Mine has flown the coop I'm afraid? Hope n pray she returns. It's probably hot enough here that the eggs don't even need her to incubate them. lol
Love that wreath... and how you laminated the photos what a great idea!!
How cute the way the girls roost on the deck rail. haha And what a bummer about Turkeylurkey. I've been keepin watch with mine coz of all the snakes this year. So far none have met their demises though. lol
Have a hunk of that bread for me!
I have a mess of zukes to bake some but havent tried chocolate yet. Everyone is sayin it's wonderful!! ENJOY!!!
And stay cool!

The wreath is wonderful Phyllis! I really love all the gingham and family pics:>) Do the chickens stay out all night? I don't let mine roam, I have seen too many hawks sitting in the tree watching them in the enclosure and the neighbors all have dogs.

Isn't that sweet that some birdies used your wreath to make a nest? Looks like you have a lot of fine feathered friends.

Hi Phyllis, Those silly little wrens will build their nests most anywhere, won't they? I have a SMALL hanging basket on my front porch and they have built a news inside of it....

We are hotter than blue-blazes here too... And every time the rains get close to us, they just go around. We've been watering some --but everything is still getting DRY. I despise it!!!!! AND--it's still only June.

Have a great time with your chickens, turkey and birds---and cats..... (Gotta zoo there???)

Four little chickens sitting on a fence, the first one said, "Oh my it's hot today!" The second one said, "Think it's time to hit the hay." The third one said, "Phyllis make us some iced tea." The fourth one said, "Then give it all to me!"

See... it IS hot here today... I've gone nuts in this heat!
